Subject: Happy and having fun
I guess everyone was "happy and looking forward to a day of pleasure" back in '52.

Wow - what an incredibly cheesy voice-over.
If you can get beyond this, there is some amazing footage of a woman creating pottery with her bare hands.

The people of Mexico work incredibly hard.
But from the narrator's perspective, all the children are happy to be working because they have no toys! In fact, all the people in this film are so happy from all their working, it's all they can do to keep from dancing!

If only they had more hours of sunlight in their day, or the temperatures in Oaxaca could be just a little warmer, why I'll bet they'd be even happier to work all day long!

WOW! 1952...am I living on the same planet?
